How Ambient collects, uses, and protects your information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Silo Secure Data LLC ("Ambient", "we", "us") handles information when you use ambientnodes.com, the Ambient control plane, and related applications and devices (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information — the name, email address, username, and password (or access token) you provide when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile picture; we do not receive your Google password.
- Service data — information about the Ambient machines and devices linked to your account, including status, resource usage, and approximate location, used to operate and display your network.
- Support and communications — records of support calls, messages, and transcripts you exchange with our operators through the Service.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and log data generated when you use the Service.
- Payment data — when you subscribe or make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details; we do not store full card numbers.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- To route and handle support requests and calls, including live translation;
- To process subscriptions and payments;
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Google sign‑in
If you choose "Continue with Google", we use Google OAuth solely to verify your identity and create or access your Ambient account. We request only the basic openid, email, and profile scopes. Ambient's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as payment, communications, and infrastructure providers) under confidentiality obligations, and when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Data retention & security
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices & rights
You may access or update your account information from your account settings, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights over your personal data, including access, correction, and deletion.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
